A pair of stunning platinum wedding rings will be the focus of a wedding televised on the Today Show later this week.

Friday will see Jessica Maple and fiance Cody Helgeson, from Mesa, Arizona, get hitched live on television after winning the Today Throws a Martha Stewart Wedding contest.

The show saw every aspect of the couple's big day orchestrated by Martha Stewart at a total cost of $600,000 - a slight upgrade from the 'small' ceremony the college students had originally budgeted for at $5,000.

However, Jessica and Cody had no choice over their reception, honeymoon, dress, ring and other elements of their wedding as this was all chosen by viewers, reports the Mail Tribune.

Luckily the couple can rest easy as the public selected two stunning DeBeers platinum wedding rings.

The bride's ring is to feature three rows of pave diamonds, while Cody's platinum wedding band will have a hidden diamond.

Cody said: "The rings alone are double what we'd been going to spend on the wedding,"

Meanwhile, the reception is set to be a breakfast held at famous platinum jewelry retailers Tiffany's, which will be the first time the store has hosted such an event.

And although the viewers haven't voted on the honeymoon location yet, Cody and Jessica can be sure to have a wedding like the stars.

Last month, Grey's Anatomy actress Kate Walsh got married to movie executive Alex Young wearing hand-made Neil Lane platinum wedding rings.
