Tiffany & Co To Open Two Stores In China
10/4/2007

Prestigious platinum jeweler, Tiffany & Co plans to open two new stores in China by the beginning of next year.

The openings are to be located in two of the country's biggest cities. One store will be opened in Tianjin in December this year and the other in Shenyang in 2008.

The opulent accessories giant will not be out of place in either location, being situated within luxury shopping areas in both cases.

Darren Chen, Tiffany & Co. group vice president, said: "Tianjin and Shenyang are well located, with robust economies, great natural beauty and a wealth of historical treasures.

"These factors account for the cities' growth as major business centers and travel destinations for tourists worldwide, and they define the ideal environment for a Tiffany & Co. store."

In Tianjin, the store will measure a generous 1,400 square feet, with a larger space opening in Shenyang, spanning 2,200 square feet.

The two new stores, which will sell a range of spectacular jewelry including platinum, and signature designs from the likes of Paloma Picasso and Frank Gehry, add to two stores already established in the country in Beijing and Shanghai.
