The following Terms & Conditions relate to the PGI Recommended Retailer programme. In marking "Yes" on the response card provided in the Recommended Retailer introductory pack and returning this to PGI the retailer in question accepts the following terms & conditions with Platinum Guild International "PGI" and agrees that failure to comply may result in such status being revoked:

Bridal Product

• The Recommended Retailer agrees that over 20% of all bridal jewellery stocked will be hallmarked platinum for the duration of its recommended status.

Platinum Brand Copyright

• The Recommended Retailer window sticker remains the property of PGI.  PGI license the Recommended Retailer to display it at their premises.
• The window sticker supplied is unique to the address at the top of this agreement and only applies to this address for the dates stipulated.  Duplication or transfer of this sticker to other parties or other premises of the Recommended Retailer is prohibited.
• The copyright in the platinum logo hereby referred to as "the mark" is the property of PGI.  PGI agrees to grant a license to the Recommended Retailer the use the mark in its marketing materials on the following terms:
  • The licence is limited to use of a monochrome version of the mark in any consumer advertising featuring only platinum jewellery for 12 months from commencement of the advertising campaign.  
  • The Recommended Retailer must obtain prior written consent from PGI for any use of a colour version of the mark.  PGI will require proofs all materials featuring the coloured mark to be submitted for approval prior to consent being granted.
  • The Recommended Retailer is permitted to use specially designed advertising slicks subject to prior written agreement to such use being obtained from PGI before distribution.
  • The use of the mark on any POS material developed internally is subject to the prior written approval of PGI to such use to be obtained from PGI before production commences.

Third Party Data

• PGI will provide the Recommended Retailer with the results of its consumer research, and from time to time, may in its absolute discretion make mystery shopping data available to the Recommended Retailer. 

Website

• PGI will feature the Recommended Retailer in the Find a Retailer section of the UK Consumer Website (preciousplatinum.co.uk) for the duration of their recommended status.

Liability

• PGI will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that any mystery shopping is carried out independently and impartially through a third party agency.  Recommended Retailer status is judged both qualitatively and quantitatively and shopping results reflect evaluated ability of the Recommended Retailer to sell platinum jewellery effectively to consumers, and does not apply to any other part of their business.  PGI accept no liability for any loss or damage incurred by the Recommended Retailer as a result of mystery shopping data that exclude the Recommended Retailer from future participation in the Recommended Retailer Programme or from revocation of Recommended Retailer status.
