A fashion and jewelry event has been held in Dubai, showcasing the creations of Liali.

The luxury designer - which has 17 stores across the United Arab Emirates - has hosted a show for the Circle of Latino Ladies association.

With Dubai rapidly establishing itself as a world centre or fashion, style and luxury goods, local jewellers are building a worldwide reputation.

Raed Ahmed Baker, chairman of Liali Jewelry said: "The shimmering event was devoted to those who appreciate the finer things in life."

He continued: "No matter what kind of dress you are wearing, you can give depth and add life to it with one of the opulent diamond jewellery pieces exhibited at our 17 stores across UAE."

Bold, modern designs formed the centrepiece of the show, which was supported by onstage musicians and jugglers.

Diamonds, platinum and gold all featured strongly, as well as lavish gowns portraying Hollywood glamour.

Lucky winners of Liali's raffle also walked away with some of the pieces from the show.
