Men looking for a luxury touch to add to their outfits could opt for a platinum belt.Launched by Manhattan men's accessories company Kale Miles, the $18,000 belts are all unique and feature an eight ounce platinum buckle, reports the New York Post.
The buckles alone take designer Kristiana Pitaniello three weeks to produce.
According to the company, the leather used to make the belt is tanned for over a year to ensure "a longer lasting leather with a beautiful finish."
It added that the strap is manufactured from one single layer of leather, which will hold its shape for decades, while conventional belts are made from several strips of skin, glued together.
Kale Miles was established after its founder could not find belt that he liked and began to create his own "ultra-fine works of metal and leather".
Other belts in the range are crafted from sterling silver or sculptor's bronze.
