Subtle, stylish and manly are the things that should spring to mind when men purchase jewellery, it has been suggested.Experts gave their opinion on how men could wear jewellery in addition to their wedding ring, reports the Associated Press.
With the market having inspired by the rise of hop-hop and its influence on jewellery trends, men are advised not to wear too much nor be blinded by sparkly accessories.
Detra Segar, vice president of Tiffany and Company's New York store, told the news provider that men should wear jewellery that matches their style of clothes.
"A dress watch is inappropriate for casual clothes such as a t-shirt. The same is true for a diamond ring. And bracelets with suits should be subtle and discreet," he added.
His comments come after a Harris Interactive online survey of 2,327 US adults reportedly found that 60 per cent of men would wear additional jewellery to their wedding rings, especially if it was chosen by their partner.
Renowned jewellery retailer Chanel displayed new pieces from their archives and the Vendome Collection at a private dinner which took place at the Plaza Hotel in New York last week, reports Sawf news.
