Jeweller to the stars Theo Fennell has announced his departure from the luxury jewellery company he established.
The creative director, famed for his colour gem creations and dramatic cross necklaces, will step down in 12 months time to focus upon a more ambassadorial role.
In a statement the esteemed designer, who has created baubles for Sir Elton John and Victoria Beckham, said: "Design has always been the hub of my professional life and so it will remain.
"However, there are a number of other design areas outside luxury goods with which I would like to become involved.
Meanwhile, the creator of a £125 ($246) lid for Marmite, recently released a dramatic range of rings.
The gold and platinum Heroes and Villains collection features rings bearing the heads of famous historical figure such as Mahatma Gandhi and Winston Churchill.
The £3,500 ($6,895) rings are currently on display at Manchester's Harvey Nichols store.
