A mountaineer has created a line of jewellery to hold melted snow from his expeditions.
Speaking to Modern Jeweller, Randall Browning revealed that he believes the snow holds spiritual qualities and brings good fortune to those who carry it.
When he returns from trips he captures the liquid in a range of pendants which serve as containers.
These pendants, which are designed by Mark Silverman of Matthew's Jewellers in Florida, are available in a variety of shapes including an ice-axe.
Each shape relates to the mountain the water was collected from and consumers can choose from some of the world's most formidable peaks including Everest, Kilimanjaro and Elbrus.
All the pendants are handcrafted and laser welded to ensure that the contents do not evaporate.
This follows news that pop star Christina Aguilera provided the inspiration for a new range of baubles by Brit designer Stephen Webster.
