A platinum ring will take centre stage at the upcoming Kaminski Auctions spring estates sale.
The striking band features a 13.2 carat yellow sapphire flanked by two trillion-cut 1.87 carat diamonds set on a platinum band.
An accompanying appraisal certificate from the Gemological Appraisal Laboratory of America verifies the piece's value.
It is expected to sell for between £10,000 and £12,500.
The auction will take place at the Sheraton Colonial Grand Ballroom in Lynnfield, Massachusetts on Wednesday and Thursday, March 26th and 27th, 2008
Prospective bidders can also take part in the auction via eBay.
This follows news that a number of noteworthy diamonds are coming up for auction in the near future.
Sotheby's is set to auction a rare 72.22-carat, D-colour, pear-shaped diamond worth up to £6.25 million, in April, while Christie's is following this by auctioning off a 101-carat near-flawless diamond for approximately £4 million in May.
