
Several designers were praised for their platinum creations at the recent Manufacturing Jewellers and Suppliers of America Vision Awards.
James Curren of J.W Currens in New York took first place in the Platinum Distinction category for his 'Black Hole' platinum ring, reports Jewellers Circular Keystone.
The platinum band features a rock crystal, round white diamonds, tsavorite garnets, blue sapphires and a solid black crystal opal.
Heidi Fudeus of Zultanite Gems in Fort Lauderdale came in second place with her platinum, zultanite and diamond pendant.
Meanwhile, Mark Schneider of California-based Mark Schneider Design also won praise for his platinum ring with accents of pink and yellow gold and orange-yellow diamonds, which took second place in the Natural Colour Diamond Distinction category.
