
Jewellery brand Harry Winston and the Time aeon Foundation have announce details of a competition aimed at supporting independent watchmakers.
The two companies will endeavour to help promising watchmakers make their creative ideas a reality by providing them with the training, financing and resources to develop, produce and market a small series of Harry Winston watches, reports Worldltempus.com
Speaking to the website, Thomas O'Neil, chief executive officer of the brand, said: "Harry Winston has a longstanding tradition of timepiece innovation, and working with independent watchmakers on ground-breaking horology.
"We are proud to support and nurture new talents in this exciting field."
Harry Winston is famed for its luxurious jewellery and watch collections comprising of diamond and platinum pieces, which can often be seen modelled on the red carpet.
This announcement follows news that jewellery watches are becoming a must-have accessory for formal events - for both men and women.
