Verragio, an engagement ring and wedding band specialist, has launched a new selection of platinum, palladium and gold wedding bands.

The firm said that its new collection is a blend of a classic look with a contemporary twist while still maintaining the style which Verragio is renowned for.

According to Verragio, the Classic Collection, which consists of designs featuring the joint-prong-setting technique, evokes "a feeling of fashion and style transcendent of time".

Each piece in the new collection can be identified by the use of a crown shaped bezel beneath the centre diamond of several styles, while the Lumino Setting is still a feature.

This allows diamonds on engagement rings and wedding bands to capture 75 per cent more light than the traditional setting technique.

Verragio's new pieces will be available to buy from luxury retail outlets during winter.

Designer Barry Verragio added: "A beautiful mounting should only enhance the beauty of a diamond in the same way a beautiful dress makes a woman even more beautiful."
