Platinum designer Erica Courtney has "an intense love affair with jewelry", it has been claimed.
According to jewelry-weblog.com, the famed designer selects platinum, pave diamonds, rare Tahitian pearls and eye-catching colored vintage stones to create her statement pieces.
The jeweler, who aims to create pieces that "treasured and remembered", has seen her designs on countless stars.
Celebrities such as Kate Flannery, Jennifer Stone, Marin Hinkle and Julie Benz have all been spotted wearing her designs on the red carpet.
Ms Courtney began designing in 1984 by embellishing sunglasses and watches with Swarovksi crystals, the website stated.
Later, she moved to Los Angeles, where her collection evolved into fine jewelry using platinum.
Nature-inspired jewelry will grow in popularity this year, it has been predicted.
According to fashionandrunway.com, drops, stars, floral designs and animals will feature heavily among this year's hot platinum items.
