Platinum Guild International USA (PGI) has revealed this year's date for its Platinum Couture Style Challenge competition, which invites various jewelry designers and manufacturers to display their pieces.
National Jeweler reported that the event will take place over three days from May 28th to June 2nd at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is looking for new pieces to fit categories including red carpet, bridal atelier, everyday luxury, couture colours and bridal boutique jewelry.
The first two categories will feature high-end platinum jewelry pieces while the third and fourth are for designs with a suggested retail price of $5,000 and the last category is for coloured gemstones set in the precious white metal.
Jenny Luker, senior vice president of PGI, told the magazine: "After the success of last year's competition, we're looking forward to even more involvement this year."
Winners of the PGI Platinum Design Awards 2009 were recently announced at Baselworld, the world's largest watch and jewelry exhibition.
