Good news for the end of 2009 with the platinum hallmarking figures up 2% in the final quarter of 2009. This coupled with the December platinum figures showing an 11% improvement year on year in relation to overall unit performance and also a 2.2% improvement on December 2007. 

Considering the price of platinum was higher per ounce in December 2009 than in 2007, this is encouraging news for the industry.
